The Army issued us a large, heavy-duty black storage box to help get gear and personal items to Iraq. Yesterday was the day to have those packed and ready to be put in a connex. In typical fashion here is the plan as conceived by some officer at the Cav Palace.
STEP 1 Have black boxes packed by 21June. No, make
that 23June. Correction, 25June.
STEP 2 Load boxes in connex on 26June.
STEP 3 Unload black boxes from connex on 6July
so that Customs can inspect contents of boxes.
STEP 4 Reload black boxes in connex on 6July.
IF only there was some way to realign the quantum mechanics of the universe in order to allow the convergence of the military-dimension with that of the common-sense-dimension within the flux of the time-space continuum so that there would not be a need to load, unload, and reload the same connex. If our technology would only advance through this intellectual barrier I submit that we could achieve a reality in which Cusoms was there to do their inspection the first time we load the boxes in the connex. Those two things should be able to co-exist with the same plane of awareness.
Alas, Mankind has not mastered the scientific principles needed to facilitate this breakthrough, and yet, one glorious day it may well be feasible; embraced by all and help lead Humanity into a new golden age of discovery and enlightenment. Just sayin.
