Ok, today I tried to "milk" the fact that I underwent some oral surgery yesterday. I think that surgery should entitle me to a few "no work"days while I recover. Makes sense, right? Well, the leadership of Fugitive Troop, TN Nationa Guard, did not see things the same way I did. Are you ready for this: they deemed I needed ZERO time off to heal from my cavity repair and filling. I guess during war time things are a little tougher, so I answered the call today by reporting as ordered.
A little vehicle maintenance, paperwork, ammo quality-control, and a short meeting were the efforts Zombie Platoon gave to Operation Iraqi Freedom 2010 on this particular day. Then it was mail call where I was literally buried by an avalanche of packages from a certain East Brainerd Girl Scout Troop. I had gotten a few boxes from them a few days ago and then 5 more came today!! It is raining GS cookies in G pod housing tonight. I shared with all the Zombies and what a bunch of happy Zombies they were. :)
Temp = 106 today By the way: when I went to workout this morning to get my "swole' on" I looked at the little thermometer they have on the wall. It was past 90 degrees inside......but they did have towels today. So, my past comment about working out in a sauna is pretty accurate.
