Not too much happend today in the land of sand and stink. I mailed two letters, beat my roommate in some r/ball to take my amateur record to 19-2, and "cleaned" the room. By far the best thing today was calling home and talking to my awesome wife and boys. :)
I have another box filled with things to ship home. If I didn't already post about this here ya go: they are reducing the number of bags we are allowed to take home with us. That bit of good news coupled with the abundance of clothes and gear I have here equals some pre-emptive shipping home of non-essential items. Plus it helps declutter my living area.
KBR did come through earlier today and install a plug in the room for hard wired internet. The rumor is this will be available in a few days and should be an improvement over the weak and unreliable wireless I've endured so far. I reserve the right to withhold my excitement until I see if 1. it works and 2. if it is faster and better.
Sandstorms still in area. Temp was a manageable 102 today.
